Summer is fast approaching which means the temperatures will be rising soon too. While we all love to take our favorite pets on drives with us, leaving them in the car can be dangerous, even for just 10 minutes! If pets are left in the car too long can cause serious health problems or even death for our four-legged best friends. Even when it’s nice and breezy on a moderate day, the inside of your vehicle quickly becomes a hot box to our pets.
Here’s a chart from VeterinaryClinic.com that helps you know just how hot your car will be in ten minutes to a half hour.
It doesn’t take long for your car to become dangerous to your pets and don’t forget to take into consideration the fur coat they’re wearing too. If you are traveling with your pet, make sure there is plenty of water available for them. Make sure they are in a well ventilated area, so crack your windows more than just an inch! Never park your car and leave without at least cracking the windows for our friends, our pets need that fresh air too!
