Nissan announced their “Your Door to More” contest a few months back to engage users of Instagram and Vine. They had to showcase the all-new 2014 Versa Note in their own homemade short films that were roughly 6 seconds long. The three winners will have their videos featured in a 45-second national television commercial.
The three winners were awarded a $1,000 Amazon.com gift card as well as and four other contest winners.
Jon Brancheau, vice president, Marketing, Nissan North America, said “There are a lot of really creative people using Vine and Instagram. We’re still trying to figure out the smoke and mirrors used to create several of the videos. This was a good social media experiment and a great way for Nissan to promote the all-new Versa Note.”
The video contest was inspired by the all-new 2014 Nissan Versa Note which is a second-generation hatchback that has a sculpted, modern and energetic look that reflects the active lives of its buyers. The Versa Note offers a combination of versatility, value and technology. It has an EPA estimated 40 mpg highway and best-in-class interior volume.
