While winning industry awards is always terrific, for Nissan, it’s more important to earn awards that are given by the consumers. That is why we here at Lewis Nissan are happy to announce that the 2015 Nissan Murano was recently named a MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Award winner. Named the Best Small Utility, the Murano was recognized as a segment-defining vehicle, presenting an innovative design, high-end interior, and premium technologies that make it easy for consumers to come back for more.
“Following a strong finish to 2014, momentum surrounding the all-new Murano continues to climb into 2015,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president for Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations in the US “The redesigned Murano is not only a great choice due to an incredible balance of style, comfort, innovation, and more, but—as validated by this award—also due to its great value and reliability. MotorWeek’s Drivers’ Choice Awards are among the best and most-coveted in the business, and we’re ecstatic to play a part in the celebration of the world’s best vehicles.”
The 2015 Murano comes standard with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, rating an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined. This superb vehicle offers enough seating for at least half the soccer team, while also providing a laundry list of features and amenities, including NASA-inspired Zero Gravity front and rear seating.

Every year, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance publishes its 2015 Best Value Awards. This year, the publication has awarded the 2015 Nissan Murano with the award for “Best New/Redesigned Midsize Crossover.” To qualify for the title of “Best New/Redesigned Midsize Crossover,” the vehicle must be fully redesigned or all-new, not just updated.
To come to its findings, Kiplinger’s evaluates vehicles based on their driving impressions, performance, price, safety, resale value, fuel economy, and overall value. The top performers are then featured in their annual buying guide, Deals on New Wheels—a top honor for the chosen vehicles. The publication, which is full of helpful information for new car shoppers, will hit newsstands on February 10th.
Kiplinger’s notes that the Murano takes the title of “Best New/Redesigned Midsize Crossover” thanks in-part to its excellent fuel economy. Rated at 28 mpg highway, the Murano ranks 20% higher than its 2014 counterpart in both the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models.
