The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid is on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide and pricing has been announced. The Pathfinder Hybrid joins the newly expanded 2014 lineup, now with model configurations up to 14. Customers can select either 4-wheel or 2-wheel drive and features and equipment to fit their budget and their family needs.
The Pathfinder Hybrid has an MSRP of $35,111 for the SV 2WD. This is slightly above the SV 2WD 3.5-liter V6 model that has an MSRP of $32,111.
The 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid has a supercharged 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor paired to a compact Lithium-ion battery. The Lithium-ion battery fits under the 3rd row seating so passenger seating capacity and cargo space isn’t compromised. It has a fuel economy as 26 mpg combined which is a 24 percent increase over the standard Pathfinder. City mileage is at 25 mpg while highway is rated at 28 mpg. The Pathfinder Hybrid has a 19.5-gallon fuel tank which is the same as the 3.5-liter V6-equipped models and it has a driving rage that is estimated at more than 546 miles.
The Pathfinder Hybrid also uses the next-generation Xtronic CVT and features regenerative braking to automatically recharge the battery during braking by converting the kinetic energy that is usually lost during braking. Like the Pathfinder, it is available in 2-wheel drive, auto or 4-wheel drive lock modes.
