Nissan engineers wanted the 2014 Nissan Rogue to be easier and more fun to drive. To achieve this, they incorporated state-of-the-art driving technologies, including Active Trace Control, Active Engine Braking, and Active Ride Control. All of these features come standard on the new 2014 Rogue.

This technology, “adds to the performance feel of the vehicle because it makes it easier to drive,” said Nissan engineer Matthew Hart. “This kind of system is typically what you see on performance-oriented vehicles.”

Active Trace Control helps the car follow your intended path. The system uses something called Corner Brake Assist to make it easier to turn sharp corners while steering less. Active Under Steer also works as part of this package and also works to help you follow your driving line.

Helping drivers feel more confident when they have to brake quickly is the Active Engine Braking. It gives you subtle assistance by slowing down the engine.

Active Ride Control helps smooth out the bumps on the road. Once you drive over a bump in the Rogue, the system automatically applies the brakes and makes adjustments to the engine torque to reduce the “head bobble” feeling you using experience while going over bumps.
