We Have the Fully Electric Nissan LEAF

We are very excited to be the first dealership in West Virginia to offer the exciting Nissan LEAF to our customers.

The Nissan LEAF is a 100% pure electric vehicle (EV), which can travel up to 100 miles on a single charge. The LEAF has already been awarded several accolades for its performance engine, environmentally-friendly features, and overall safety.

According to a recent study by Nissan and the EPA, “The Nissan LEAF™ has been tested under the EPA Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule, a laboratory test commonly called the LA4 test cycle, which represents city driving conditions. Top speed is 56.7 mph and average speed is 19.59 mph. Ambient temperature can vary from 68 – 86 degrees. Climate control is off. The Nissan LEAF™ easily achieved 100 miles.”

Currently, there are four charging stations in Beckley and three at The Greenbrier resort, but with the increasing popularity of EVs and high gas prices, West Virginia could see up to 100 additional chargers throughout the state at fast food and hotel locations within the next three years.

Nissan Giving Us More In-Vehicle Technology

Earlier this month, Nissan Motor Company’s CEO, Carlos Ghosn, unveiled a series of major initiatives in automotive communications technology which is intended to debut in the all-new Altima later this year.

“It’s clear that consumers expect to be connected wherever they are, and that includes the time spent in their automobiles,” said Ghosn. “To meet those needs, Nissan is developing a series of innovative breakthroughs in communication devices that will be safe to use while driving.”

Below is a video of Mr. Ghosn discussing the new generation of NissanConnect℠.

KBB Ranks Nissan JUKE #4 as Most Fuel-Efficient Crossover

This week, Kelley Blue Book announced their 10 Most Fuel-Efficient SUVs and Crossovers, giving the 2012 Nissan Juke the number four spot on the list.

The JUKE is a radical little crossover that is part CUV, part sports car and part futuristic art. Creating such an eye-catching vehicle isn’t all that complicated, but to create one that is highly functional, fast, affordable and highly fuel-efficient can be a tough task. This is one tough task in which Nissan has prevailed.

All versions of the 2012 Nissan Juke CUV are fitted with the automaker’s new 1.6-liter “DIG” (Direct Injection Gasoline) inline 4-cylinder that boasts direct fuel injection, turbocharging/intercooling and variable camshaft timing to deliver an impressive mix of performance and economy.

A manual-equipped front-drive Juke can sprint to 60 mph in around seven seconds, while the CVT and AWD each add about a half tick to that baseline figure.

With all this power, the Nissan JUKE still manages to produce some outstanding mpg numbers. Offering a combined 29 mpg, the JUKE has an EPA-estimated 27 mpg city/32 mpg highway.

Combining all the features, styles, and power engines with the impressive fuel economy, the 2012 Nissan JUKE is a no-brainer for drivers looking to save a little cash at the pumps and still get the sporty vehicle they desire.

Are you ready to make that move into the sporty-crossover segment? Visit our Lewis Nissan website for a list of our JUKE crossovers, or stop by our New Nissan Dealership in Beckley for a test drive today!

Among the many attributes of the 2013 Altima, drivers will get an estimated 38 mpg highway, new premium exterior styles with excellent aerodynamics, an upscale interior, and an awesome balance of ride and comfort.

Nissan made sure they stayed true to their “Innovation for All” philosophy when adding tech features to the 2013 model. The all-new Altima includes standard Bluetooth wireless technology with streaming audio, Easy Fill Tire Alert, next-generation Safety Shield Technologies with Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Moving Object Detection systems.

The stylish interior looks to be in a class of its own with new NASA-inspired “zero-gravity” front seats, available leather appointments, and a new standard Advanced Drive-Assist Display.
