New Nissan Murano to Debut in New York in April

If you’ve been as excited about the new 2015 Nissan Murano as we have here at Lewis Nissan, you’ll be drooling over the new sneak peek of the Murano released by the brand. Nissan leaked out a ten second teaser video, giving us the smallest of glimpses into the Nissan Murano’s new design language. The next-generation Murano will be fully revealed next month at the New York International Auto Show.

The Murano, for 2015, will come with a fresh, innovative design that will not only highlight the new Murano but also pave the way for other future Nissan vehicles, especially in SUV and crossover segments. “Along with its innovative styling,” Nissan said in a press release, “the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano features a spacious, premium interior and advanced purposeful safety and connective technology.”

If you just can’t get enough Nissan, come by and visit us here at Lewis. We’d love to talk to you, show you our inventory—including the current 2014 Murano–and rave with anticipation about the all-new Murano. Is it April 16 yet?

Nissan LEAF Twitter Page Slams Tesla in Hilarious Deleted Tweet

Here at Lewis Nissan, there’s nothing we love more than a good Twitter fight. Usually, it’s celebrities battering one another or professional athletes responding to the “haters,” but we were all treated to a rare example of an automaker taking a shot at their competition yesterday when the @NissanLEAF Twitter account posted a picture that took a shot at beleaguered EV manufacturer Tesla.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, featured a photo of the 2014 Nissan LEAF® with the following text: “The Nissan LEAF® is available in all 50 states, including New Jersey.”

Ouch. Somebody please get Elon Musk a steak out of the freezer in the break room. He’s gonna need to ice that burn with the quickness.

Auto Blog Green reached out to Rob Robinson, senior specialist of social communications for Nissan, who told them that the LEAF Twitter page is run by an ad agency and not members of the company, adding that the tweet “was not a tweet that was reviewed or approved by Nissan. We saw it and asked them to take them down.” Robinson said the reason for taking down the innocuous jab was because “we thought it was a discussion we didn’t need to be weighing in on.”

We say keep it up, folks. The Nissan LEAF is the leader of its segment, so why not take the opportunity to assert its dominance? We’d like to hear from you: if you were running the Nissan LEAF Twitter page, what would be the best diss you could come up with for Tesla?

Nissan Announces U.S. Pricing for 2014 NV Cargo Van & Passenger Van

Nissan has announced U.S. pricing for the 2014 Nissan NV Cargo Van and 2014 Nissan NV Passenger Van, both of which are now on sale at Lewis Nissan!

The NV Cargo is available in three models: NV1500, NV2500 HD, and NV3500 HD, with two possible roof configurations (Standard and High). It also comes with your choice of two engines, both of which combine impressive power and fuel efficiency. We recommend the 4.0-liter V6 for best possible mileage, though the 5.6-liter V8 is still an efficient option that can handle all kinds of heavy lifting.

The NV Passenger, which can comfortable accommodate up to 12 passengers, is also available in three models: NV3500 HD S, NV3400 HD SV, and NV3500 HD SL. All three are exceptionally well-equipped, including eight standard air bags, standard head restraints, integrated seat belts for all rear seating positions, as well as 324 seating configurations and six independent rear seats. Some of the options include a 5-inch touchscreen navigation system, complete with SiriusXM Satellite Radio with NavTraffic, USB input, RearView Monitor, and more.

Nissan Sentra and Versa Make Top 10 Cheapest Cars You Can Buy List

There’s a reason you see so many Nissan Sentra and Versa sedans populating the roadways. Not only do they offer reliable performance and innovative technology, they are also some of the most affordable vehicles on the market. Both sedans were named to Cars.com’s list of the Top 10 Cheapest New Cars You Can Buy.

2014 Nissan VersaCars.com ranked the top 10 list by adding the cost of the industry’s most fuel-efficient vehicles with its destination fees and the estimated gas costs over the next eight years.

We at Lewis Nissan are proud to note that Nissan was the only automaker with two vehicles to make the list.

“Both Sentra and Versa Sedan feature notable fuel economy, advanced technology options, and an economical starting price that even the most frugal buyers can appreciate,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations.

“We’re providing our buyers more for each dollar they pay, and we’re honored to be recognized by Cars.com.”
