Nissan Promises Customers America’s Best Commercial Vehicle Warranty

Nissan Commercial VehicleWhen Nissan entered the commercial vehicle industry, they didn’t just enter to play the game; they entered to win among competitors. As a result, the automaker recently announced good news for commercial vehicle owners: Nissan now offers America’s best commercial van warranty, beginning with 2014 models.

Bumper-to-bumper limited warranty coverage was increased from three years and 36,000 miles to five years and 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Talk about improved coverage!

The powertrain limited warranty was lengthened to five years and 100,000 miles as well.

“As Nissan Commercial Vehicles have established a reputation for ruggedness and durability in the field, we’re gaining sales traction and customer acceptance of our work vehicles,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president of Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations. “We’re in the commercial vehicle game for the long haul, and this warranty will further help our customers to have greater confidence in their vehicles.”

The warranty applies specifically to Nissan’s 2014 NV Cargo Van, NV Passenger Van, and NV200 Compact Cargo. For those who already own one of these eligible commercial vehicles, the warranty is applied retroactively.

Possible Future of GT-R Visible in New Nissan Concept 2020

2014 Nissan GT-RThe Nissan GT-R is an amazing sports car loved all over the world. With each generation it just gets better and better. What do you see when you imagine the future of the GT-R? If something like the newly revealed Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo comes to mind, then you’re on the right track.

This concept will be the newest addition to the Gran Turismo 6 video game. It is part of Gran Turismo’s Vision Concept program, which lets automakers design virtual concepts for in-game play. Players will be able to download and drive this amazing new design starting in July.

In a press release, Nissan indicated that this concept is a predecessor for a future Nissan supercar (most likely a GT-R) and hinted that this concept may take physical form, “But as a specialist in automotive design in three-dimensions, Nissan believes that the real-world is ready for the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo.”

Even if you’re itching to virtually get behind the wheel of the Nissan Concept 2020, you probably still prefer the real deal. Visit us at Lewis Nissan and check out the exciting lineup of new Nissan cars available now.

Best-Selling Altima Ups the Ante for 2015

2014 Nissan AltimaNissan has announced some exciting changes to the Altima for 2015. Several trims will feature improved standard features, impressive technology, and a variety of options in an effort to make one of Nissan’s best-selling cars, even better.

The Altima’s top two V-6 trim levels will now come standard with NissanConnect infotainment system which features navigation and apps, and driver assist safety technology including blind spot warning, moving object detection and lane departure warning.

The mid-level 2.5 and 3.5 SV models will see a new 8-way power driver’s seat, and in an effort to improve fuel economy, the 3.5-liter V-6 Altimas have been tweaked for a one mile-per-gallon increase in fuel economy ratings, now getting 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Another small, but welcomed update is the black carpeting and lower side trim that now comes with the beige interiors. The contrasting new interior not only appears sleeker, but conveniently hides dirt that inevitably makes its way to the floor mats.

Along with these updates come with a bit of a price jump across all trim levels (except the Altima 2.5 S, which dropped in price). The jump is minimal compared to the features gained, and we think the updates are well worth the price.
