Engineered and designed in the United States, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD brought its own style to the Detroit Auto Show. The newly designed, full-size pickup is ready to throw down with the other major full-size pickup truck sellers, namely Chevrolet and Ford. With an improved towing capacity; new, more powerful, yet more fuel efficient engine; and a sweet interior, there’s no reason not to check out this truck.
The new Titan XD weighs in between full-size and heavy-duty pickup classes. Lighter than three-quarters of a ton yet more capable than a half-ton, the XD is a powerhouse. Under the hood you’ll find a 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8 engine that puts out 310 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque. With the right tow package, the truck can haul up to 12,000 pounds. The maximum payload hits 2,000 pounds. The new design is more aerodynamic as well. The Titan XD hits showrooms later this year.
