Independence Day is all about coming together to celebrate America with family, friends, and of course, fireworks! Here are some ways you can celebrate 4th of July in Charleston this year.
Charleston July 4th Firework Celebration at Riverfront Park
This event is the biggest in the area and is sure to deliver some of the best fireworks. It happens every year at Haddad Riverfront Park. The event starts at 3pm on July 4th and isn’t just about fireworks. There’s musical guests, activities for children, crafts, and food trucks.
Live on the Levee
Live on the Levee happens every Friday night from May 26th to September 1st, 2017. So the weekend of July 4th is the perfect time to head down and check this concert out. Every week, there are new musical guests. On July 1st, the music starts at 6:30 and the headliner at 7:30. Plus, it’s free of charge!
West Virginia Power vs. Hickory Crawdads
Celebrate the 4th by attending something very American – a baseball game! The minor league team, the West Virginia Power, faces off against the Hickory Crawdads on July 3rd. It’s the perfect activity for the family the night before Independence Day.
Now get out there, soak up the sun, and wave that flag, like we will be at Lewis Nissan.
With summer steadily approaching, the temperatures in your car can be 20 to 30 degrees hotter than the actual air temperature, so here are some ways to keep your car from baking in the summer heat.
Investing in some sun shades will help keep your car much cooler. They prevent the sun from coming through the windows and windshield, which can keep your car much cooler.
Find the Shade
Parking in the shade will keep the sun from heating up your interior. When there’s no shade around, try to park your car in the direction that would keep the most sun from heating up your steering wheel and driver’s seat.
If you are willing to modify your car, window tinting is a way to permanently keep your car cooler. Just be wary of your state’s regulations on how much tint you can have.
Use Remote Start
If you have a remote start system (like many Nissans do!), start your car before you get into it. You can also start your A/C system with many remote start key fobs, so blast that a few minutes before you get into your car.
