Discover any one of these top West Virginia festivals by taking one last road trip this summer.

The Appalachian String Band Music Festival will be celebrated from August 2 to August 6 in Clifftop. This is the 28th annual celebration of regional music and culture, and it also features workshops, dancing, camping, and more. There will be an estimated 3,000 people in attendance this year, and musicians from previous years have represented over 20 different foreign countries and 48 states. For any music lover, the Appalachian String Band Music Festival is a must.

According to West Virginia Festivals, the Rails & Ales Craft Beer Festival will also be this summer, taking place August 12 from 12 pm to 10 pm. Located at the David Harris Riverfront Park in Huntington, WV, this festival is the 5th annual celebration for beer lovers. Craft beers have taken off in recent years, making this one of the fastest growing festivals in the area. Just make sure to get a designated driver if you plan on drinking.

Finally, the Appalachian Festival in Beckley takes place from August 25 to August 27. You can learn about the history and culture of coal country, see artisans, and eat some great food. Home to the Beckley Exhibition Coal Museum, Beckley also offers tons of other things to do for anyone looking to turn the festival weekend into a mini-vacation.
